Vision statement:

The UKFHD aims to ensure equal access of optimal care for all individuals living with an inherited haemoglobin disorder.

Mission:

The UKFHD is headed by a group of multidisciplinary trustees, patient and organisational representatives with a passion and drive to:

          • Advocate and influence policy.
          • Promote and review best practice.
          • Share ideas and promote and advise on research.
          • Educate health professionals and support education of patients.
          • Influence and advocate an equitable prevention programme for sickle cell and thalassaemia disorders.
